Packing

This morning our boxes arrived and we have started packing.
EEEEEEEEEK!

What a job. All I can say is that it looked a lot easier in my head.
So far we have packed up the bedrooms.
Dylan's rooms was quite easy as he hasn't got that many toys,
Emily's room on the other hand...let's just say I ditched a lot and
have now got three big bags waiting to be taken to the skip/ charity shop and way
too may boxes to be loaded onto the removals truck.

So this is mainly what I'll be doing for the next two days.
If you need me at all I'll probably be buried under boxes,
tape and bubble wrap.
Wish me luck!

Oh before I forget...I moved out of the dark ages and added a
facebook page.
Come and find me!

I don't want to go!

I know, I know...I haven't been around much lately.
It's been a crazy two weeks.
Reason
We have decided to move.

Not necessarily a decision I am happy with.
I mean who likes to move anyway?
I'm so not looking forward to packing up boxes, messing up the house,
deciding what to keep or ditch, clean the whole mess up afterwards and then do the
reverse in the new house.
But the thing I hate most about this move is
leaving my dear friends.

What am I going to do without my girlies!!!
No more coffee mornings on a Tuesday, no more walking to school
together, no more laughs and giggles, no more shopping trips,
no cakes or dinners at my house, no more fun evenings out,
no babysitters nearby if I need one and no more nagging about our husbands.

Today one of my friends gave me the sweetest card and five chocolate bunnies

Think I will go and eat one now and sulk in a corner for a bit :(

Summery outfit

top, trousers: George. Shoes: Next. Bracelet: peacocks

As you can tell by this outfit, I love this seasons colours!
Mints, corals, pastels....heaven!
To be honest this outfit makes me feel like going on holiday.
 Italy maybe,
where I can be surrounded by ice creams, scooters and non stop sunshine.

Ah lovely sunshine, we haven't had a lot of you lately.
As I opened up the curtains this morning we had a few hopeful
rays trying to break through the thick grey clouds but by the time I got dressed
in this summery outfit the clouds had won.
Oh well, I guess I will have to brighten up the day myself.

Maybe I went a bit too bright adding the coral shoes.
Now I love mint and coral together but somehow it didn't translate.
Maybe it's because there is already an overload of colours.
Luckily I have some great nudes to tone it down

shoes: New look

Much better no?!
Now excuse me as I go in pursuit of ice creams, scooters and
sunshine.
Ciao Bella!

Cake pops anyone?

Today I decided to make some cake pops.
I've seen these little yummies pop up on several blogs now...
about time they made an appearance on mine!
I found the recipe on Erika's blog

Oreo and mascarpone cake pops (oh yesssss!!!)

Three packets of Oreos (154g each)
250g  Mascarpone cheese
White chocolate
Lollipop sticks
Sprinkles

Step 1. Blend the Oreo cookies in a food processor until
all crumbled and fine.
It helps if you have a cute assistant helping you out.

Step 2. Add the mascarpone cheese

Step 3. Blend it all together, not easy at first and it took me a good five
minutes and a lot of muscle power to get it to the right consistency.
You should end up with something that looks like dirt from the garden.

Step 4. Roll into balls and place on a baking sheet, then place in the freezer
for about 15 minutes.

Step 5. Melt the chocolate and dip the end of the lollipop sticks into this.
Then insert them into the cake balls. Place back in the freezer
for about five minutes, allowing the chocolate to harden.

Step 6. Coat the cake pops in chocolate and add sprinkles, leave to dry.
Make sure you buy enough chocolate, I didn't and have two cake pops
who are feeling very sorry for them selves.
Also, unless you are super handy and know what you are doing, prepare
for this stage to be slightly messy!

Step 7. Eat and enjoy, they are heaven on a stick!
